About Clan Cable
Clan Cable is a group of gamers from Las Vegas, started way back in the year 1999.
Clan Cable was started after two bored-ass high school kids in Perri's room both discovered life had no further meaning than mIRC and Q3Test. After a couple months, a name was picked, a website was slapped up, and even more Quake was played.
From there, the group grew and grew. People joined, lan parties were attended, and various small computer parts went missing.
The swearing, boozing, and fragging lasted heavily into 2002. But then CC's sense of unity faded. Quake 3 Arena was no longer "omg 1337!" and neither was the mighty lan party. Clan Cable's members began following the separate paths chosen for them.
On the bright side, several of us remained loyal to the old way. Worthiness of the title "gamer" was never more deserved for some, while others kept moving on.
To this day, Clan Cable continues its triumphant march beyond the vast, paved grid we call home. In the coming years, Clan Cable will extend our petty bickering and dedication to games that aren't real, to almost everywhere.
Clan Cable Terminology
ARG! : n : All Real Gamers; a replacement clan name for Clan Cable that was not used.
Baka! : adj : A Japanese word formerly used by cc{Hatchetman. An idiot; fool; a jerk.
BFE : n : A location far from Las Vegas, where you are likely to find cc{Akihiro driving around at.
Box : n : Clan Cable's home away from home. Jack-In-The-Box.
Clan Table : n : Clan Cable members that play ping pong.
CTs : n : Not a reference to Counter-Strike. Refers to a group of computer technicians that do a great job handling computer hardware.
Dazluck : n : A phoenomenon which science simply cannot explain. It is the ability for cc{Dazootz to repeatedly come out of hopeless situations in a desirable state. Often, there is no effort or awareness required for dazluck to occur.
Dazmobile : n : This describes a wide variety of vehicles you may have seen over the years, most likely peeling out from the Jack-In-The-Box drive-thru, or driving over sidewalks in order to circumvent slow traffic.
Downer : n : cc{Smurf after five shots. Pure unstoppable power.
DSL : n : Not a broadband connection. See: Angelina Jolie's face.
FTS : n : Meaning "Funk That Shiznat," is a phrase used by a person who wishes to express their opposition to a certain idea or situation.
Heh : n : A reply used by someone who has nothing to say (note: not in fact an actual reply).
Readme.txt : n : Clan Cable's most secret document, went unused after 2000.
Seated : v : To be owned. The person who got owned then sits back down in their chair, not only in disappointment, but in humiliation. This term was pioneered by cc{Nomadic and was apopted widely afterword.
Shark Fin : n : An object seen in the backyard pool of a Lanarchist's house. (note: pray you never see a shark fin) .
The Sweat Box : n : Nickname for cc{Falkan's old truck, which lacked air conditioning.
Ugly Kids : n : Loosely used term to describe people you wouldn't want to hang around with. Invented by cc{Akihiro and cc{Illusion.
Wang-Fu : n : Sorta like Kung-Fu, but with your wang. It's fun, you should try it.
Yoink! : v : Refers to the taking of an object.
