Sup. Internet is up and running at my pad. Woot. Unfortunately it looks like I get about 200 ping to any servers in the USA.
Now on to the Clan Cable gaming news. Nomad was kind enough to mail me Quake 4, which I must say, is very fun (at least the single player side). It seems much more polished than Doom 3. Also, I haven't played online yet, but I did like what I saw of the map lineup. Also, I see there's been a relapse of WoW. What can I say...well, I don't understand it, but have fun!

Just announced the last lan party over at my place for a while. Grab the info here if you haven't been the to forums yet.
In other news, Battlefield 2 continues to be my preferred game. I'm just waiting for something better to come along, and it could be a while. I haven't seen DoD:S yet, but I played the CoD2 demo yesterday. The graphics were top notch, but the fun factor just wasn't there for me. Looking at the rest of Clan Cable, the guys who used to be so hardcore about Quake 1, 2, 3, UT, CS, it's clear that the traditional style FPS just doesn't cut it anymore. Hopefully Quake 4 will unite a lot of gamers, but I doubt it.

Last night the clan got together down at the Hofbrauhaus and had a little too much fun. The sheer volume of beer that we consumed is mind boggling. Happy birthday Hatchetman, we had a great time.
As everyone knows by now, Syphis will by tying the knot on Saturday. Congratulations. I remember back in the day when all of CC was single and I could have never imagined any of us getting married, but the historic day is here.

Just realized I haven't made a July post yet, so happy birthday to me and cc{Syphis. Was that a bangin party or what?
cc{Roach and AC1D picked up BF2 today, which of course made me happy becuase no one else will play with me. I swear, the one game I get heavy into is like the fucking plague to the rest of cc. Is it fun? Sure, but avoid it at all costs! Even if it means playing something wonderful like Warcraft 3 or Doom 3. Alright enough ranting, Clan Cable was, is, and always will be the shit.

BF2 came out today, and already we've enjoied its awesomeness over at my place tonight. Looking forward to many future battles with you guys, even though your driving skills are hilarious.
Also, there has been a very vocal insistance that the readme.txt be revived. So as you can tell, there's an extra link in the menu now.

The impromptu lan yesterday was a blast. Thanks to Hatchetman's last minute thinking. Also, BF2 should be out by Thursday. The demo has shown promise, so hopefully it'll be good. Clan Cable needs a break from MMO's, so I hope this one can put us all back in the same server again.

Thoughts of throwing a lan party today quickly descended and burned up upon reentry. For once, this was a day where I didn't have work, school, or any of that shit. However, I need not remind you that myself, and most of the rest of Clan Cable are probably the laziest individuals you will ever meet. (And I mean that in a good way). So anyways, a lan party isn't entirely off the table. I'd really love to get together and play some classic Q3CTF and Starcraft, if we can get just eight people over here.
Finally, I'd like to mention that today I was involved in my first automobile collision. No, it was not serious, and yes whoever hit me was a complete jackass. So, I'm in the CARWASH, just sitting there watching the soap ejaculate onto my windshield, when I feel the sudden jolt of the moron behind me. His truck rammed into my rear bumper. Thankfully, there was only a scratch or two in the paint, so I gave him the thumbs up, and drove off.

Yesterday I made a few modifications to the website. If you scroll to the bottom of each page now, there's an image at the bottom that wraps up the page. Also, there's a faint picture of a CAT-5 cable under the navigation buttons now. Lastly, checkout the "About" page. I've optimized it for the Firefox browser, and updated it. I need suggestions for the terms though. If you have any thoughts, post them.

A news update? Well, here ya go. The forums have been dead lately, but it is easy to understand why . Lets see...I think I mentioned last time there weren't any good games on the horizon. Nothing's changed except I am personally looking forward to Tekken 5 , and possibly Battlefield 2 . Although both are guaranteed turds. Other than that I've been playing CS and trying to finish school, which as we all know, heavily conflict with one another.
Lastly, I've known for quite a while now that the Clan Cable homepage looks shitty in Firefox . (see: images misaligned, and weird spacing in places there shouldn't be spacing) If you can offer any help, shoot me an e-mail . Otherwise a site overhaul might be called for (again). Lates.

In my haste to post the last news update, I forgot to mention the biggest news of all. cc{Nomad won the grand prize in the DooM III GGL tourney last week. A big congratulations goes out to him, from all his loyal homies in Clan Cable. As Roach said it, "this was the single biggest gaming achievement by any of us in CC." And also, way to not cave into any pressure. Glad to see you walked away on top, when there were people who didn't want you to.

So, the new year is here. This year I promise to post random and infrequent news updates. New posts like this one, where I painfully ramble on and on, and make random leaps from one topic to the next, without any logical order. I regret missing Hatchetman's New Year's party, but had a good time on my trip.
2004 was a great year for gaming. I hope we keep seeing new releases of great pc games like last year, but I doubt we will. I can't say there's anything big on the horizon to look forward to at the moment. Oh well, Warcraft seems to have everybody's minds off of FPS gaming anyway. So here I am, the lonely non-mmo person in Clan Cable. Blah.

Looking back on the Summer of 2004, I'd say this has been one of the greatest CC years. No, it wasn't because Doom 3 came out. Hell, we barely even play games anymore. Instead I'll remember the Summer of 2004 for hangin out and playing DDR at Syphis' house, for the huge CC Lan over at Falkan and Nomad's place, for Lesh coming all the way down from Colorado to visit, and for our infamous political debates with AC1D and Roach. Good times.
And through great fortune, we've been able to end the summer on a sweet note. Hatchetman returned home safely. Welcome back man.

If you are reading this, Clan Cable is back online. The domain was down for almost a week because of DNS configuration nightmares with a hosting company. Anyways, this means we're back, and the site should never go down like that again.

Saw Revolutions again yesterday with Akihiro and Ill-dawg. Twas a good flick. Lastly, dunno if anyone has seen the UT2004 video, but I was impressed. Looks like UT2003 meets Planetside or Halo. Good stuff, if you looking for another shooter.

This can only mean one thing - I'm bored again. So, it's time to update the most neglected website of all time. What to talk about...Oh yeah.
Smurf's post about Valve having to give back the ATi money was great. Looks like we could see HL2 at the end of November. But saying this on the Clan Cable page undoubtedly curses the project, delaying it for years.
So, on that note, Doom III will never be released! =)

Thanks to some nifty information from Smurf , it does indeed look like Half-Life 2 will be here at the end of the month. Hopefully it's true.
Either way, I am faced with a big dilemma: Upgrade now, or hold out for a month after HL2 for the new Intel Chip / Price cuts? It's a tough call, and don't tell me to buy AMD. My mind cannot be changed. Actually I kinda hope the game gets delayed.
Update: Umm... holy shit . I just might end up going AMD after all.

There have been rumors of a Quake 3 CTF lan party coming in a week or so. Don't quite know if they're true, but I wouldn't exactly mind if they were.
Well the dreaded time of school is fast approaching for many, while other people never actually left it. On the brighter side, we have much to look forward to my dear friends. The coming of greatness is upon is. No, Akihiro is not back in town yet, but next week is Quakecon. With that, I hope to see plenty shaky-cam footage of Doom 3 multiplayer in action. After that, it'll be the home stretch, for the release of HL2.

Anyways, if you're in front of your computer every Monday or Thursday night (you know you are) and like Techno or House, checkout Just Groove Radio . The stuff they play is pretty good. Plus it's run by Kaneda and usually streams live from Akihiro's pad.

Omfg. Yeah, here it is, folks. I hope it was worth the long wait. After this design got the thumbs up form Daz and Nomad yesterday, I decided it was time. There's still alot left to complete, but the good news is I just re-registered the domain. Clan Cable is here to stay for another year.
Anyways, give me your feedback on the forum when you guys get a chance.
Just to give you an idea what a pain this was, have a look at all the different designs I had to go through before something didn't actually suck.

Normally I wouldn't do this, but I've been really bored this morning. What's new? The X-Men 2 Trailer has nobody talking...but with the next Matrix coming out...T3...etc, I doubt many people are going to care. I honestly think 2003 is going to kick the shit out of 2001 & 2002 put together though. Also, I played UT2003 yesterday for about an hour. It struck me as one of those games that people will play only to showoff the fact that they purchased a new video card within the last few months. Which means I would probably play it if I had just run out and bought a GeForce 4, too. But as we all know, times are tough for cc{FaLKaN. =]

The best part was seeing the old crew once again, but it's no secret that lans really haven't been the same since Double Trouble '2000 (CeReaLkiLLeR's). Wassup. I've added a bunch of minor updates to the website today, mostly to the members and ownage sections. And by popular demand I am going to be organizing a major lan party that will hopefully take place in a couple weeks. It'll be Clan Cable style, but anybody who feels like playing tribes 2 should show up. Also there's been suggestions on adding a new member or two to the clan. I am thinking. It should be pretty accurate if all goes according to plan, but nothing has yet, so we'll see.

I was told yesterday morning when I woke up in a pool of my own blood, that there was some kind of lan party or something? Hah! Very nice Friday night I must say, as all of CC showed up over at my place for the lan. Even managed to provide free food/beverage/electricity without the $20 cover charge, like some assholes would expect. The shouting and swearing lasted from Friday night to Saturday afternoon, when most of us managed to fall dead asleep. Except for me of course, who was expected to move furniture (thx Auric) the next day. All and all, that was some nice ass shit!

Never before has Clan Cable seen news been updated two days in a row. wW00t fucking w00t!!! Anyways, we now have a channel on IRC. #clancable on gamesnet. It seems all the other clans have one so why the hell not. Even though I don't understand the logic of a clan having an IRC channel. I mean aren't there like 50 other fucking ways to talk to your friends? ICQ, AIM, MSN IM, Yahoo IM, E-Mail, Regular Mail, Home telephone, Cellular Phone, Faxcimilie, Telegram. Who the fuck needs IRC, when I can send my clan members a fucking telegram!! Oh well...fuck it. IRC...w00t!

Yesterday...the day of madness! Quite a bit of flaming went on in the LVGA forums. Have a look at this screenshot of the action! Gotta check it out in the new features section.
Oh yeah, had a big Q3 scrim with cc{Nomad tonight. He narrowly beat me with a final score of 100 to -6. By the end of the match, he was able to predict which rocket launcher I would be picking up 6 seconds in the future, shoot at it, and frag me from across the map as I picked it up. Scary.

CC Forever.
Maybe its just me, but I feel a strong migration toward the old CC ways of the past coming in the near future. Sure, CC did fade away after the "lan party" era, and that game called Counter-Strike didn't help us much, but it never slowed us down! And who are the "All Real Gamers"?

Wow...an entire month has gone by, since I last did a Clan Cable news update! I really am a lazy shithead. Well, that and there hasn't really been too much news to report. Clan Cable hasn't been generation much news since we've discovered the Quake 3 sucks.
Heh, well it doesn't really suck, we're just bored of being too good at it. I the meantime, CC has been glued to Starcraft, and having some kick ass LAN parties. See you later...suckers.

My apologies to all the Clan Cable fans out there who look forward to our news updates. Last week has been really busy for us. Although we lost our second place standing on the OGL, because our ladder was deleted.
We've been hammering through plans for a mod which looks like a strong possibility for the near future. Not to be discouraged by our Fire map though...heck, it's our first release ever. Our second map is already under way, and is looking much much better!
More about the mod...we've got all the help we need, for all the people reading the news. Right now on our team we've got 3 mappers, 2 modelers, 2 coders, and 2 skinners.

Well here we are at Decemberfest 99' Daz is asleep, and we are left, wondering where the hell to find some CTF action. Oh well. OGL has been actiong funny lately...donno what positions we're at. Q3Radiant will be coming out in a couple days, hopefully some of our guys will be getting into mapmaking and modeling.
Expect to see demos and screenshots from Decemberfest on the website soon. Assuming I don't drop my tower case on the driveway concrete, tomorrow afternoon.

Clan Cable officially has Q3A. Let me say, that the reason for us not doing much lately, as far as OGL ladder or website, is that we've been really occupied with it. We definitely think Quake 3 is one of, if not the best video game of all times. We strongly encourage anyone who has a warez copy of the game, to just go out and buy it, becuase it's worth it.
Also, we haven't haven't had much success at team deathmatch lately, but if things keep going the way they are, CTF looks like it'll be the game for us.

Decemberfest delayed until next weekend. This should work out quite nicely, with recent rumors of a Quake 3 release next week.

Well I'm back...safe and sound, from a very scary weekend. Almost fried my 16-port hub. Luckly she still works, which means we are a go for Decemberfest! Or our next LAN party as we like to call it. Looks like the OGL is down right now. What a big surprise, but it's pretty safe to assume were still at the #3 spot, until Wednesday, when we take on #1!

News today, none reguarding Clan Cable (thank God).
A couple big things happened today in the world surrounding the clan, and it's members. The first is, you may have noticed I put up a new hyperlink on the main page. This is a link to the message board of the "Real Techs" of CMHS. For all those of you who cannot gain access to our message board, sorry but you are not a "Real Tech."
Then the other matter of news, is reguarding the real world, which is preparing for the arrival of Quake 3 Arena. I am very excited about the news in recent days, that the game was completed and sent to the factories. It has "Gone Gold" as they call it. Hopefully it'll be in stores next week, or the following weekend.

Saturday's LAN party was a big success. We had 8+ comps, and played plenty of Starcraft & Quake 3 test. Photos of the party and Clan Table* will be posted as soon as they are developed. In other news, the Quake 3 demo/test came out yesterday, as everyone already knows. Looks like the full version is just a couple weeks away, and Clan Cable is starting to get excited.

Clan Cable has come to some bold realizations. First, we've realized that all the Version 2.0 stuff was bullshit, so we took it down. Second, we've realize that Q3A is barely worth playing until the full version comes out. Which is why we've quit participating on our beloved OGL ladder for the time being.
Expect to see minor changes in the upcoming month.

Well, Clan Cable has hit the fork in the road. Our second generation web site idea isn't flying too high, because we've realized how much we love our HTML site right now. So at the moment, expect only minor changes. We're waiting to see what happens with the full release of Q3A.
Also, another big question has hit us in the last week or so. Will Clan Cable allow any other members to join? For the moment, the answer is "no." Not to say we haven't been looking, because we have. We just haven't found anyone good enough. Plus, we like things the way they are around here, and we don't want anything to go the way it did in [FL].

Clan Cable dropps down 2 spots on the OGL ladder, after deciding not to care about OGL until the Q3A full version is released. December 3rd will mark a new beginning of Clan Cable. The newly announced CC version 2.0 hits the web on the 3rd. Version 2 will feature Flash 4 integration into our website, along with many new features and ladder competition.
For right now, Falcon and Daz are getting preped for the big day, so stay tuned!

The Clan Cable hosted LAN party was a great success, thanks to cc{Daz for his midnight snack run. There was a bit of late controversy, when Falcon was leading the last match, and both CC members decided to shorten the game length, due to some very long and exhausting competition. Falcon ordered the fraglimit to 10. In his cheapness, Daz decided to set it to 11, knowing that the extra one point margin would give him more room to try and acheive victory.
Falcon was the first to reach the 10 point mark, but the game did not end. At the last second, Falcon falls over the edge of Test2 map, and is killed by Dazootz as soon as he re-spawns. Leaving the final score 11 to 9 in favor of the Daz.
The question still arises...who REALLY won? You decide.
In other news, Clan Cable is at the #11 spot on OGL, challenging for #6. Match scheduled to take place on Wednesday.

Not a whole bunch of news to update today. We've just accepted our first challenge on OGL, to defend our current #11 spot. We can expect to do much better this time, since we've continued to practice and have gotten better.

Good news today for CC today. We finally got our #20 spot on OGL. All spots above us are challenged, except #19 at the moment. I've decided to wait until Sunday night to make another challenge, so we can move up hopefully, more than one spot.
The Flash 4 page is in the near future. I'm beginning work on the THD project tonight. With my efforts concentrated, I'm estimating it'll take 1-2 days. Then I'll start the programming for CC.

Great news for Clan Cable today! We won our last challenge, and we're now at spot #24 on OGL. As soon as I discovered this, I immediately challenged the team at the #19 spot. Hopefully we'll be inside the top 20 by the end of the week!

Stunning defeat on Thursday night. denwO definitely has the right stuff. We loss both matches and went 0-2. Thanks to some late inspiration by cc{Daz, I'm still pumped and ready to go for our next match. I tried to make our next challenge late last night, but we still have not passed the OGL waiting period after such a loss. Also, we have moved up to spot #30 on the OGL. Just goes to show that any active clan can do well, just by showing up.

OGL brawl tomorrow night! Clan Cable vs. denwO at 6:00 pm pacific time.
In the meantime, we've been moving up the OGL ladder. I guees it's because the ladder admin is deleting abandoned teams. Anyway, CC now stands at 32nd place, challenging for the #27 spot. Scrimages are going well. Last night I ( cc{Falcon ) went 1-2 aginst cc{Daz! I'm not going to post the scores. He managed to rock me up pretty bad during game 2. You can bet I'll be posting the official scores and snapshots from tomorrow's match, though. Stay tuned.

Wahoo! OGL finally declared our forefeit win over "The Shakers." Clan Cable is now at position #36 on the OGL Q3 2on2 ladder. We're moving straight up! We've gone up 23 spots in a little over two weeks!! Amazing progress, and we haven't even played a match yet! LoL. OGL has a bunch of clans that people just make up one day, and forget about.
Anyway, I've made our next challenge, for the #31 spot aginst "denwO." We may actually have to play this time. That's ok though, I'm starving for some frags! I hope cc{Daz can get his C:\ drive working better in time for a potential match late next week.

CC finally cleared up on the OGL Q3 DM 2v2 ladder. Currently at 45 challenging 40th. We've moved up 14 spaces in the last 10 days. Not bad progress. CC scrimages are going well. cc{Daz is still #1 in the clan, and will probably remain at that spot for quite a few years. Clan Cable still undefeated overall.
In other news, we are awaiting the arrival of Q3Test 1.09, but it is unsure at this point when that'll be released. Check out Blue's News and Planetquake for current news updates.

CC's new website brought online today. Inner-Clan scrimages are going well. cc{Daz still has the upper edge on cc{Falcon, but practice makes perfect. CC is well-prepared for any 2on2 tournament. Losses are estimated from UNLIKELY to IMPOSSIBLE. Second OGL victory is expected to be official within the hour.
