Super minor update to the site...added a favicon. Might have to refresh to see the change.
Other than that, great to see most of you a couple weeks ago. Don't stop being awesome. And by all means, somebody give me a shout for some Starcraft one of these days. I'm happy to own or get owned, either way.

Wow this is historic. Over a year has passed since the last CC news update. The whole PC gaming thing has been sort of 'meh' for a while anyways. I've been sticking to my BF2 & Starcraft, waiting for something better to come along, and nothing has.
I'd like to turn our attention to Starcraft 2 for a moment. I will admit I was excited at its first unveiling. But in the time since, it's looked like plasticky blah. Sure, its coming along and will be much more polished in the future, but come on. Reapers? Vikings? Bzzt, wrong. I want my firebats back, thanks. To sum it up, I don't want to play Starcraft 2. I want to play Starcraft -- 2. I'm still hoping they don't drop the ball though.

This news update is long, long overdue. First thing off, you may have noticed the site is responding a bit faster than you're used to. Our webhosting company has upgraded us to a new server, new ip address, and new site management software.
Next, I've just got to mention how many great games are coming out this year. For starters, I'm really looking forward to Crysis & CoD 4. Crysis will no doubt be a groundbreaking singleplayer experience, but its appeal in multiplayer will remain to be seen. The same goes for CoD 4, but I should add that the demo looked beautiful and ran even more beautifully. (For comparison, I played the Crysis Demo in a 1280x1024 box in the center of my monitor.)
Hatchet and Disarray are also hyping Hellgate: London over in the Gaming Forum. I can't comment on the gameplay - I haven't tried it out yet. The screenshots have lots of cool looking monsters though!
Unfortunately, the word-of-mouth on Shacknews convinced me to skip my plans of purchasing Quake Wars and Unreal Tournament 3. I'm sure I could be convinced to play these, it's just I haven't seen anything that makes these titles a must-have.
Lately I've been playing Opposing Fronts and Battlefield 2 with some guys over here. Basically, Company of Heroes is like playing the movie Saving Private Ryan from an RTS perspective. It's bloody, and it'll mess with your dreams. BF2 is still great, but that CoD 4 demo really makes BF2's graphics look dated. Rumor has it BF3 is in development though.

Almost a month late on this one, but Happy New Years! This year was again a little rough hearing your voices at the party and not being able to join, but it was of course good to see most of you at the end of November.
So much time has passed, and I've done so little with this front page. I had planned to add some more content to the site, but then ditched the idea (of posting some of my Japan vids here). I know most of you still visit the forums, so if you think of any good ideas for the site this week, post them in the Suggestion Box.

Anytime I play a game with of you these days, it's almost a special occasion. Yesterday I just happened to be awake at 6:00 am (2:00 pm Vegas time) and saw Roach online. We ended up hopping in the good old BF2 server for about an hour. Being Roach's cobra gunner brought back memories of the good old days.

In between work and sleep I've restarted the nasty old Battlefield 2 habbit. Guess this proves yet again that gaming in Clan Cable is cyclical. I've also realized it's just about time to retire the trustly old P4 3.0 box, but it'll probably be worth it to wait just a few more painful months for next gen windows & vid cards. Sadly there's not more than a few ranked BF2 servers here that I ping < 200 to.
Well, off to see Superman Returns, hope it's good. Lates.

The CC news updates come in good time, don't they? This one is more of a rant than an udate though. It's a rant beacuse I've concluded that you all are teasing me in the forum. I mean, why is it that when I leave Vegas I see some cool shit like "awesome Crazy Hat Party..." "I was pretty wasted..." etc. Yet when I come to town I just end up playing WC3 by myself in the corner? Therefore, I've decided CC should stop having parties of any kind until I can join them. Alright.

Not much in the way of news to report here, I just made the Clan Cable font look a bit more fancy. Maybe one of these days I'll get around to providing some actual content for the site. Who knows, I could even start on yet another long endeavor of a flash project I'll never finish. The future looks...uncertain! Woot.

I really shouldn't be up at 5:00 am on a work night, but I had to finish what I started. The old design was starting to show age. It came to the point where your average blog site looked better than the good ol' CC front page. I'll (hopefully) be adding better graphics when I have more time to dick around in Photoshop. But hey, let me know what you think. Take it easy.

Given my current location, I'm probably the last person who should be writing the Clan Cable "news" but can these shoes really be filled? I didn't think so. So a couple things worth mentioning recently: Our very own Nomadic is getting some (well-deserved) recognition for his recent accomplishments. Woot. Also, I'm told that "Old School Lan" was a smash hit. Would've been nice to attend for sure. Finally, Hatchman and I have decided to put Enemy Territory: Quake Wars and Supreme Commander atop the Clan Cable: Most Anticipated Games of 2006 Official List (if there was such a thing).

How about that Battlestar Galactica, eh? Thank you internet! Well, I wish I had a little more news to report than this, but being away from Vegas and all makes going to lan parties a little more difficult.
Today was a long day at work, but I survived. I always do. Have you ever been on the edge of insanity while listening to someone else talk? Whenever that happens to me, I think of Office Space. Every once in a while, I'll give out that Bob Slydell, I'm completely bored as shit but paying attention, look.
